On some of USF’s newcomers not qualifying hurting its incoming recruiting class ... “Well, I had 23 scholarships to give this year and we signed 29. So tell me, on signing day do you think I’m going to lose six? Now that is not always reported. We had a number of people placed in junior colleges on signing day. So we lost one guy that I really wanted, and I’d imagine that eventually he’ll get there. Sometimes people will over sign. I’ve seen in the past people will talk about Florida signing 32. Well, everybody knows that the most you can sign is 25. So it’s not always the way it appears because it not always shared like that. But the truth is we just lost one guy that I’d really thought we’d get and the others were placed in other places. Now will we get them back, I don’t know. You have to wait for two years and there are so many variables. But sometimes there are it’s hard to know in signing day who is going to make clearinghouse and who’s not. You want to make sure that you’re solid, so if you have 23 you want to make sure that you’re solid on 21 or 22. So you know that those guys are going to make it. Then you go out – and I don’t know if it is right or wrong, and sometimes perception hurts you – then you go out and reach out to some guys that you know and you want start a relationship with.
