Firing the staff he did was a mistake.  Some of those guys are among the best at their positions.  For example, didn't UM fire their OL coach?  OC or QB coach I could see there, but their OL had been solid and well coached for years...

they should never have left big east

firing the assistants was the right thing to do

he made adjustments

usf's qb never make progress so leavitt promotes qb coach samith to OC and he is a disaster and is still retained

i like coker's approach better

Schiano will never be the H.C. of the CANES.  Randy Shannon or Mark Richt would be the most likely choices,  Tuberville would probably be the 1st choice but doubtful  he would leave Auburn now.

The real problem with Miami in recent years is that they have been unable to find playmakers on offense outside of their tight ends.  For a team with Miami's overall talent, that is just rediculous.  I can see Petrino finally jumping ship and taking over next season if Miami doesnt win the ACC.
