First beingBig Time Schools play their games on Saturday afternoons unless TV dictates otherwise. Stop crying about how you hate going to games during the afternoon. If USF is going to be Big Time we need to play day games. What bigtime school dosent?Day Games increase the home field advantage. Most of the Big East teams are from the north. We should make them play in the hot steamy Florida weather. It gives us an advantage.

This might be the smartest thing you have ever said. Good point.

As you already pointed out TV gives major programs a variety of start times with some of the largest games taking place in the evening. As to the afternoon times in many places that would be the most comfortable time in the day for fans to go to the games (fall can get a bit cool in many parts of the country) for us the opposite is true. As to the home field advantage our players seem to get pumped up for the night games and the heat certainly did not help us in the second half of the Alabama game. Start the games whenever and I'll be there but I certainly do not think afternoon games will strengthen how we are preceived in anyway, what is the usual start time for "small time" programs? There have been many debates about our conditioning and hydration because what ought to be the case hase not proven to be the case with regards to the affect of heat. I would say that in most cases where heat has been an issue we have been the ones lacking depth, cramping and becoming weary far more than our opponents. It's not the going to the games that suck, it's the NOT being able to go to the games that suck. Saturday mornings and early afternoon in the fall are killer for families with kids in organized sports.......... plus, the student turnout usually stinks for morning and afternoon games, I believe.Day Games increase the home field advantage. Most of the Big East teams are from the north. We should make them play in the hot steamy Florida weather. It gives us an advantage.I sincerely hope you're right ....... although, if I remember correctly, the last time Pitt, a Big East team from the north, came in here, they kicked our ass.I think some teams traditionally play either day or night games. UF is a day team, while UM and FSU are night teams, I believe. With our brief history, I think we would fall under the night team classification ...... it's what our limited fan base has been accustomed to and the day games screw that up......... IMO.
