USF Women Finish Third at C-USA Golf Championships;Crowe and Ronderos Earn Honors

FT. WORTH, TX (April 21, 2004) -- The USF women’s golf team couldn’t climb back to the top of the leader board, where it had stood along with Tulane after one round at the Conference USA Championships, and finished third, 29 shots behind Tulane, who held on for the title ahead of host TCU.

Tualne’s Liliana Alvarez claimed medalist honors with a 54-hole 226, while USF was led by senior Jill Crowe, who tied for fifth place with a 235. USF’s Daniella Ronderos tied for 14th at 245, while Mary Calderon and Fernanda Rivera were tied at 16th with a 247.

Crowe was named to the all-tournament team, while Ronderos was named second team all-conference as well as all-freshman.
