Bordeau gets extra year, scholarship

Good news for USF's special-teams unit, which is already looking at new starters at kicker, punter and holder: Ryan Bordeau, USF's long snapper last season, has been granted an extra year of eligibility and will be on scholarship for the Bulls this fall.

Bordeau, a Seminole graduate, had appealed to the NCAA for an extension of the traditional five-year window of eligibility. His window began in 2001 at Kentucky Wesleyan. Once his appeal was granted by the NCAA on Friday, coach Jim Leavitt honored a commitment he had made to elevate the former walk-on to scholarship status for his senior season.

Walk-on Eric Setser and tight end Ben Busbee handled long snaps in Bordeau's absence this spring.

True but if you where at the spring game you would see why we are glad to get this guy back. Those guys could get the ball back to the punter if their lives depended on it.
