Day One Of BIG EAST Softball Championship Canceled

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (May 11, 2006) – The BIG EAST Conference announced today that day one of the Softball Championship held in South Bend, Ind., is canceled due to inclement weather.

Four games were to have taken place at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, but due to rain and gusting winds the day’s events were canceled. The BIG EAST will announce later today the revised schedule for the remainder of the tournament.

The BIG EAST Championship has a built in rain day to make up games, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 14.

I guess we are going to have to wait until tomorrow to kick butt...
