Ok... now that the Bucs have released their schedule, I thought I'd look ahead to see for which games we would most likely be able to have the field at Ray Jay prepared properly.  That is, endzones painted with "South" and "Florida", large school logo at midfield without a white flag background, C-USA logos at opposite 30's, etc.

Bucs - 8/28 - Miami

USF - 9/4  (or 5 or 6) - Pittsburgh

USF - 9/11 - Tenn Tech

Bucs - 9/19 - Seattle

USF - 10/2 (possible change for TV) - Southern Miss

Bucs - 10/3 - Denver

USF - 10/16 - Army

Bucs - 10/24 - Chicago

Bucs - 11/7 - Kawika

USF - 11/13 - East Carolina

Bucs - 11/21 - San Fran

USF - 11/27 - Memphis

Bucs - 12/5 - Atlanta

This has to be the BEST Bucs home schedule we have had in terms of conflict with only the USM game (if it isn't moved) causing problems with getting the field ready for the Bucs.  There is no reason why each home game should not be fully "Bullified"!

By the way, I noticed at the Spring game that the red seats are turning a nice pink in the sun.

Very lovely.

A suggestion:  paint them green and then when and if they fade, it will still be green.

Go Bulls!

I really hate having to share a stadium with the Bucs and will really be glad when we get a stadium of our own!

We have beat the stadium subject to death.  Let's not go there.

It's a huge recruiting tool to be able to play in an NFL stadium, especially one as nice as RJS.  The cost of an on campus stadium would be outta this world, especially for a school having to scratch and claw around for 20 mill to build the new Athletics facility.  Besides, if you think traffic is bad over on the Dale, which it isn't, it would be at least 10 times worse here.  Imagine 20000 cars leaving off of campus, on a Saturday night, on to Fowler or Fletcher.  Yikes.  No thanks.

I feel a "why can't we replace the turf and paint our logos everywhere" thread about to break out!

Bwaahahaha...but beer CAN be served on campus and there's plenty of parking on campus.  And the campus is more centrally located between I275 & I75 for better access to the stadium.  It would be such an improvem't to the campus experience.  And just imagine the Ah-vee-awn-centz of an on campus stadium.

Heehehehe...this boat is leaving the dock.  This dog will hunt.  There is no stopping this freight train thread.

All I'm saying is that one of the major reasons we didn't get the field painted in the past is because the groundskeepers would not have the time to get the field ready if the Bucs played the next day.

This factor will only come into play one time this year.  I guess it's down to a money thing...and I say it's worth it.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
