USF and UCF are tied at 42 games each in their all-time Baseball series.

Freshman, Chase Lirette is supposedly scheduled to pitch for the Bulls.

I-4 Diamond Rivalry Continues Tuesday In Tampa

ORLANDO - For the 85th time in school history, UCF (29-7) and USF (23-11) will meet on the baseball diamond Tuesday at Red McEwen Field in Tampa. The I-4 rivalry continues at 7 p.m. as the Golden Knights look to get back into the win column after losing two of three at No. 24 Florida Atlantic over the weekend. USF was tied for first in Conference USA heading into their weekend series at No. 17 East Carolina, but the Pirates swept all three games from the Bulls.

UCF is ranked No. 26 in Collegiate Baseball’s Top 30 poll. The Golden Knights were ranked as high as No. 19 this season in the Collegiate Baseball rankings. The Golden Knights dropped out of the Baseball America Top 25 rankings for this week.

The UCF ISP Sports Network (740 AM The Team) will broadcast Tuesday’s game on 740-AM The Team and via the Internet via the Yahoo! Sports Audio Package. The pregame show starts at 6:45 p.m. with the voice of the Golden Knights, Marc Daniels.

Hopefully, Lirette doesn't have a first inning like he did against ECU.   He has shown some good pitching in earlier starts and I'm sure he'll do fine.  

I really do hope this rain stops before the game.

Hope it gets rained out and we make it up... I have my position round in bowling for all the money this week and can't miss it. I can't think of anything better than giving them bitc_es a hard time!

Below are the current RPI rankings. USF only fell five spots to #46, despite only going 1-3 last week. UCF is at #34. We play a three game home series with TCU #49 this weekend, so a good showing can regain some lost gound.
