We've had so many people who made splashes on the men's basketball team over the years (since Seth)...

I bet if you put them all together they'd pack a bus.

(counting on talent alone, and none of the baggage)

My top 5

1) Kelvin Brown

2) Yusef Baker

3) Raheim Brown

4) Jimmy Baxter

5) Kenyatta Jones (I know... know... But I still laugh when I recall a 300 lb player on our team)

Here's a refresher if you need it: (roster for 2000)http://espn.go.com/ncb/preview2000/058.html

Baxter. He undeservedly gets a bad rap from a lot of people here imo.

He never was all that some people made him out to be.

Yes a good athlete, but not a basketball player. He fit in well with Greenberg's type of team, though. Do you realize he was ranked about the same as Tron coming out of HS? Yet he has only a fraction of Tron's talent for basketball.

I thought Baker got a bit of a bad rap, but I wasn't really following that situation as it unfolded so I'm still relatively uninformed. He will go on to be a good player for some high-major program.

Baxter left for the right reasons, if there are any.  He is a good kid and I wish him well.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
