 wild ass draft picks that butch will prolly make..

We are being to logical about how we think Butch will draft....Gallery,Winslow...etc

We know our needs are LT,SS,TE,Wr,DT, QB Bu etc..

We also know that Butch will pull some picks out of his you know where that have potential..........

Maybe we should focus on what the least likely pick will be..which will prolly turn our to be TRUE!!

Here are 3 of my favorite picks....that fill needs..

Actually since our need is at LT and TE......

I predict Butch in rd 4 will select our next TE/LT....

Jason Peters 6'5" 330# althlete from Arkansas who can run a 4.9/40 @ 330#...he may be faster than Gallery!!

Gallery was a converted TE...before he became a LT. Half of the teams who interviewed him told him they were considering him at LT!!

HECK....we should make him our LT and TE!! why waste a pick on a TE and a LT!!

In rd 6 we will get our QB of the future in Jared Lorenzen, a lithe 6'3" 290# QB who will finally allow us to get that QB sneak up the middle. Jared who has a strong arm runs a 40 in 5.3sec or is it minutes?

in rd 7 we can pick up another WR when 'cutt goes....

We know Butch likes em tall let's see..............

Huey Whittaker 6'4" 220 from S Florida...

Here's the scoop on Huey from Sporting news...which lead me to believe he's our GUY!

" takes time to build speed...isn't elusive...Lollygags on some plays ( i like that one)..doesn't always work hard as a blockler and is inconsistant.. but has good hands.......!!!

what more can you ask for!!

I read that in TSN and wondered what they were watching  : as I don't totally agree with the 7th round, I think Huey will be a good pick up and will be on the opening day roster.

Bulliever sent me an instant message saying that Huey is being "mocked" in my post. Yes, he is TOTALLY being mocked.

Well, he, AND, Butch Davis. That is why I put it up. I thought information of all kind about USF, and team members was important. Not just how we sometimes view things through our USF rose-colored glasses.

actually TSN's summation of Huey's skills is as accurate as I've read.  Although, I don't agree with the good hands mention.  Huey has fair hands, not good hands.  He makes the difficult but its really a lack of concentration that allows him to drop the easy ones.  Huey was one of those gym rat guys, he worked hard in off-field workouts, but sometimes never did the little things on the field to make himself great.

Sorry folks, but that's reality.  Remember, these assessments are relatively speaking.  If you stack Huey up against all the draft day WR's that's where he stands.  Albeit, I still think he goes higher than the 7th round for the simple reason of his size, hands, strength, and decent speed.  His combination can probably only be found in about 3 or 4 other receivers on draft day.  Huey reminds me of an Orlando Gadsen (sp?) the big WR from Miami.  

This was part of our offensive problems last year.  I am really expecting Lawrence Dawsey to change all of that.  LD was one of the most technically sound WR's in the NFL, and college.  LD knows its the little things that makes a WR good, not the lucky catch, or having 18 inch pecks.  I refuse to comment on Pajic for the sheer sake that there is absolutely nothing good for me to say about him.  The key for us to be a better offensive team is finding a good replacement for Houston, and our OL to FINALLY STEP IT UP, also the WR's to play solid and consistent.
