Ricky the Bull 563
I recall Shahid had some serious health issues. Dobras is at most mbb games so I'll ask him tomorrow if he has any information.
Gat-Rat Bull 296
In 2016 there was a poster in the Carrier Dome of Syracuse great Ronny Seikaly and Hakim. I had to school young @MDBull20 (pictured) on the history of the thunder dunk. Hakim was definitely one of those historical USF basketball players fans loved and those that saw him play will never forget. 1
Jonesy Bull 522
The first years of me following USF basketball. Loved that guy. Remember on his dunks, the loud cannon would go off scare the crap out of you and the announcer would yell out Hakeem Shaheed in a prolonged voice. Think he came from Florida College while I was there if I remember right. And he transfered to USF when I did. But not sure. Would have been 1986. Hope he is going to be OK! Bullumni 43
All good memories of the MBB teams of late '89 to early 90's I would suspect that R. Dobras might have heard something about him. Hope he's ok. Fond memories of the way the (Sun Dome) announcers would announce all the players of those teams, and the loud cannons mounted on the tops of the hoops. Those cannons for a while were uniquely USF hoops. That sticks in my mind, and at the Baseball games, when the opposing Pitcher was taken out, the sound system would play a flushing toilet (hilarious).......I'm not sure they could get away with doing either one of these anymore. Man I forgot about both of those. The cannon during a dunk would scare the hell out of me . I fondly remember the flush sound. Today’s fans yell out left, right, left, right when the starting pitcher gets pulled or a big strike out takes place...which is pretty funny.
