Big East definitely deserves to be in that group when it comes to basketball. If we are going to be stuck in the AAC for a while I hope the AAC does everything in its power to become the sixth best conference in football through expansion. It probably is right now, but will it still be after we lose Cincy, Houston,...? Create a national conference. Look at teams like Fresno State, Boise State, Air Force, Army, Appalachian state.....

Also perhaps the AAC basketball conference should look at adding other basketball only members (  like Wichita State).

Basically it will be the Top 6 when the 12 team college football starts. Walk into any bar and start mentioning that
