If we can't afford to can a loser coach, we might want to table those OCS plans for a while. No sense in building one if we're content to consistently field one of the worst teams in the nation.

I’d be all about it. We are too conservative when hiring coaches and recruiting players these days

He was trying to keep a tradition? Giving extensions to coaches that don’t deserve them

It was a very poor move. We need folks to stop leading out of fear. If he was poached that would have been fine. If his contract had ended that would have been ok. There really wasn’t a bad outcome in either option. The worst thing we could have done was prematurely extend him. But these are the cards we were dealt so let’s go
