Yates didnt impress me I am thinking they run the 4  Pinder, Bags, Ash, Hansford up front and have kelly, yates, and the freshmen as backups. Maybe even RS  Kelly after 4 games.

I disliked Yates for a while, but this year he earned my respect and I realized he has been one of the few Dlinemen who actually gets sacks. He averages 2 sacks and 3 tfls per year. Im good with that. Plus I think he will perform better when surrounded by better talent. He also has the most experience.

Well, with everyone running hurry up you don't get a chance to get guys off the field.

Most excited about the influx of a body type we were missing the DE/OLB.  Michel Dukes and Ajou on offense should put us over the top for bowl eligibility.  This team is weakest at the QB position though.  The team will only go as far as consistent play and decision making, execution in the red zone.

I agree keeping them fresh and hungry is a key.

If you hit the qb, rb, or wr hard enough they will  need a break.  One way to get one lol

QB's historically make their biggest leap between Freshman and Sophomore year. And if they don't make a leap in that time period they usually never do.

We'll know if Timmy is worth sticking with this year. What makes me optimistic is he did show flashes of brilliance but was a little too aggressive sometimes and missed some deeper passes. Would rather have to reel a guy back in than he just looks scared out there but is a practice warrior.

Yates is a terrible DE.  One sack in 11 games this season and only 1.5 total TFL's.  DE is by far the weakest unit on the team.  Right at this point, Kelly and Hansford should start by default.  Vaughn and Logan are both better than Yates too IMO.

Think Yates may be moved inside, which has more talent.

I would think so as well.  Hopefully we can get one more pass rush DE to shore up the whole D line.
