What’s the vibe, will the Rays ditch sister city idea?

MLB has axed the split idea so the rays will either be in Tampa or somewhere else but not 2 cities.

Thank the good Lord for that.  It was fun watching Stu - stew about being rejected in his news conference.  I loved it.

Tampa has totally changed since he first took over in the early 2000's.  There is a lot more corporate money and a buzzing metropolis of sorts with all the people moving into the downtown area.  It is really the definition of a boom town right now.

I think Stu recognizes this.  I could be wrong, but he is a business man and sees the potential of a downtown or Ybor stadium and sees dollar signs.  All he has to do is look at what is going on with the Lightning and Bucs.  Maybe a Nashville, Charlotte or Las Vegas will scoop them up, but I tend to doubt that right now.

MLB should put the screws to your owner to pay more $ for a stadium in Tampa or sell the club. The long term viability of success for the franchise will start to be impacted at some point.
