There were some people who follow USFBB very closely that were extremely confident that BG was that guy. Just a few years ago there were all the “wait until BB season” and “we are a BB school” posts.

Not sure any were counting on the "situations" that have arisen during his tenure. The only real "clean" year he had we won 24 games ....... but that may not matter in the end. The HC is where the buck stops and this is the second to last year of his contract so something will need to be done at the end of it ..... and he's not a Kelly hire.

It’s just a weird position to argue one thing is failure while touting that having the 4th worst all time record of current coaches is somehow success and progress, CBG hasn’t exactly set the world on fire but CJS would kill to be a fraction as successful as him or CCS for that matter

They haven't been given many minutes.  But I see the potential and think they can give some passion thats missing.  also their inside presence will open up more space for open 3's. I like a rotation  with 2 of the 3 in most times (third being Tchewa).  Himes needs more minutes.  And figure out who is a better matchup with Chaplin and Boggs splitting time at the 3.  Patrick and Green playing the 2 spot.  Smith and Boggs in my mind need less minutes.  Need to speed things up off missed baskets.  Maybe even throw in some full court press to take advantage of their depth.  Lots and lots to implement but its early and before conference play begins.  Agree we do we to much pump and reset of the offense.  We do way too much of the weave up top.  If you are a shooter you should be going up with the open 3

I don't see anything from Matos where he should be getting more minutes than he is currently getting. Believe McCreary is coming off an injury of some kind so I can see him playing more as we get into the season. But there just seems to be a lack of either confidence or talent in shooting 3s - again this year.  These coaches tell you in the offseason how we'll be better doing this or that and this guy or gal will make a big difference.  They are all either overly optimistic or liars. And I don't believe there are intentionally lying.

The first year head coach's son hit that game winner. And, yes, I'm glad I left early. That would have been crushing. Hurts to see it here but would have been much worse in person.

McCreary had the Flu, we are still waiting on Walker who is coming off injury and a top 100 recruit.  Its a chicken and egg thing maybe the reason you are not seeing much because he gets 5 min a game (Matos).  This was a very very bad loss.  And things look real bad, something needs to change and shake things up.  pick the top 7-8 guys and give them more minutes to see what they can do.  Or go full court press and play everyone, we need to try soemthing

Boggs needs a quicker release. Tired of the constant pump fakes. McCreary looked particularly good down low. Seems more active on the boards and on help defense, though he looks like his conditioning can improve.

Bottom line is you can’t expect to have 4 6 to 10 minute FG droughts per game and beat anybody.

Offensive scheme is hot garbage.

Agree with that, pump fake and weave at the top of the arc then take a contested shot with 4 sec on shot clock isn't cutting it.  Boggs needs to figure out what he is.  A stand up perimeter shooter???  or work down low get some boards and take his open shot when he gets it.  Coaching needs to define his role better or stop giving him so many minutes
