Our feelings don’t care about your facts

Really?  It's a coup to get G5 teams to go to a P5 conference?  Since when?

When people were droning on about how the AAC was actually in a stronger position and should be poaching the B12 teams

This is how USF fans are feeling after this announcement.  Poor guy got hit with a deflected tennis ball today at the Open.

Since we were invited to the Big East, we've watched eight conference-mates move ahead of us: Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Rutgers, West Virginia, Louisville, Cincinnati, UCF, Houston. We are the only remaining member from 2005 and we're just spinning our wheels over and over and over again. I'm disgusted that the phrase 'American Athletic Conference peers' is being used at this point. The '05 BEast teams should be our peers, not whoever's getting dredged up from CUSA or the Sun Belt to cobble the conference back together. WE SHOULD HAVE NO PEERS IN THIS CONFERENCE!

Besides us, there are only two teams that used to be in a power conference and aren't anymore: UConn and Temple. UConn won a conference title and played in a NY6 game. We didn't. Temple got booted from the BEast due to non-competitiveness, kicked around in the MAC for six seasons, and then managed to get invited back and win a championship. It's hard to for me to argue that there's any team that's squandered their opportunities more than we have. UConn is in a worse spot overall but we wasted the most potential. We're in a major media market and recruiting hot bed, we had a national stage. But somehow we're substantially worse off overall as a program than we were when we got called up.

Disgusting that it takes this to get the administration to commit to a vague promise of 'developing resources and investing aggressively.' Why did it take three rounds of realignment to look into 'building on the foundation of success' whatever that means?

The number of conference-mates that have moved on increases to nine if you include TCU from C-USA.

After the SEC yoinked his top 2 and the only 2 that mattered and it appeared that the PAC - 12 said thanks but no thanks to a merger.   It doesn't take any skill to grab 4 teams from the G5 to join any P5 conference

Texas has wanted to leave for what, over a decade? It's a miracle they lasted as long as they did.

So, it is going to take skill to grab Sunbelt\CUSA teams? I don't hate Aresco, but his money would have been earned by scooping up the Big 12 teams.

Besides the Texas Tech, Iowa State, and our own AD all hinting that Big 12 expansion will continue, this is the most concrete evidence we have.

Once again, loud and clear: the door is not closed. So while today sucks, it's a bad chapter not the end of the book.

This is 100% Charlie Strong and Mark Marlan's fault. It's that simple, no question in my mind.

Had he kept what was working for Willie T, we would be getting the invite along with UCF and co.

Our time will come.

What a one two punch with thins coming out before the game tomorrow. This wasn’t unexpected, so take it in stride.

I mean UCF got left by us, and then joined us. Its just going to happen in reverse.
