I honestly think we should just shut the program down.

Torello from Bay news 9 tweets pretty objectively about USF and UCF, but seems to be well connected. I’ve been pissed and annoyed about stuff he’s said, but he was the first I saw report about UCF being recruited by the big 12. He doubled down on it as well a week before it was announced.

ive seen him on Twitter now bringing up this stadium is being funded in a way that will have the state help pay for it. Also seems confident USF with an OCS gets P5 looks that aren’t the big 12. I’m doubtful, but he’s proven to know more than I do before so here’s to hoping that’s the case again

Ugh…the guy likes to get arguments going too much for me.

My heart lies with USF, but I also enjoy being fans of other teams in other conferences. My dad went to Ohio State, so I watch them. My brother is and FSU fan so I watch them. My best friend is a Colorado fan, so I watch them.

The SEC can kick rocks, never really cared about the B12, and I always pulled for G5 upsets.

It is a valid point about the cost of running a football program at this level versus the marketing benefit to the school. I don't know what the answer is.

Up until the building of the IPF, the school hasn't really dropped big $ on football. Sure we have the practice fields, the existing offices and the coaches salaries but in the grand scheme of things, USF hasn't spent that much on football.

Now if you are planning to build an IPF and an OCS, you better hope it is worth it. IF USF stays in an AAC or CUSA type conference and has a solid 20k fan support typically, is it worth that kind of investment or would you be better off cutting bait like it appears UConn is doing?

It sounds like they plan on moving forward but if football is outlawed in say 20-30 years due to concussions....I would say there is at least an argument to look into if that kind of investment is wise.

Putting this type of money into football after we've already missed the boat is going to make the issue worse. The only point of putting money into football is to try and get into a p5 conference but this opportunity is gone. I'd give it up.

Do a uconn, shut it down altogether and walk away failures.

Sounding more and more like UAB will be in the AAC.

We left cusa for the big east and are now in a worse version of cusa.

You know for the fact the opportunity is gone? You know the commisioners of the Big 12 or ACC and can confirm there will never be expansion again?
