And we also know that USF is doing absolutely nothing about this publicly. They’ve chosen quiet discretion over desperate pleading, and are conducting their campaign with a level of tact not shared by all other contenders.

So if USF isn’t going to use its voice (and I can confirm it is very determined to not do so publicly), let’s do the work for them.

Personally, I've been proud of the way that USF has conducted itself and hasn't sunk to pimping in the media, social or not, the way most of the schools have. This "campaign" is organic alright ..... like dung. At least Duckhead should be happy.

I think this is a more likely (and desirable) path to Power 5 than Big 12.

SEC will not take FSU, Florida will not allow it.   Just my opinion.

I can also say with the same amount of evidence that Florida just has one vote, and if the rest of the SEC determined it wanted FSU to join, it would overrule Florida and extend an offer.

Do they charge extra, and does it have this label?  If not, it's not organic.

Good point.

Hope McMurphy is wrong.

The SEC also has a rule about two teams from the same state for future invites.  (Sorry if you guys already discussed that, I am just skimming this thread.)

I think if the SEC was voting on whether to bring in FSU, Florida could whisper in a few ears like South Carolina, Georgia and Texas A&M to help block them.

He is as clueless as the next Joe.

I want to believe that, but tbh he's right more often than not. Unlike the sketchy sources upon which MHver, TuxedoYoda, etc. rely, BM has real sources. What's less clear is when he's relying on sources instead of reading tea leaves and drawing conclusions from them himself. He has left himself some wiggle room in case things change (e.g. if the Big XII TV network comes to life), but seems to be of the opinion it's going to be expansion by two only.
