It’s hard to be woke and say nice things about someone you labeled an abuser

I do enjoy their podcast from time to time, but you would think they would have a better production quality after doing it for this long.

They still have it where it sounds like they are trying to record a cellphone using a cheap mic, or it cuts out and you can’t hear jack.

Same. Seth is actually very good with the film room stuff. It’s kind of amazing that this is the only pod cast for USF. There used to be another one but it was terrible…like guys hanging out in their dorm room terrible.

As for TDS hating on him, all I can think of is pretending he was bad makes the fact that we parted ways with a coach who had us on a constant 13 year upward trajectory sting a little less

I love CJL for what he did do here .... do think a statue may be a bit much, with the aforementioned plaque may be the way to go ... but let's not revise history. The only way you can call his last couple of years here on an upward trajectory was if you compare them to our last couple of years.

Literally, sure 9-4, 9-4, 8-5, 8-5

But the more games you win, the harder it is to maintain an upward trajectory unless you go undefeated, win your conference and bowl game - and maintain that.

The alleged plateau.   LOL   He was holding us back.

And 4-3, 4-3, 2-5, 3-4 ..... There was no alleged, plateau was the best way to put it. The rub was whether or not he was underachieving, all things considered. IMO he wasn't ...... others obviously thought different.

Alleged because there are many factors that needed to be addressed with that rapid rise.  The depth never caught up fast enough to compete at the BCS level.  Considering he plateaued is not considering all variables IMHO.  You can cite, depth, facilities, asst coach pay, etc were NOT on par with the changing environment he coached in.

I guess we're getting into semantics? There is no question the program had hit a plateau ..... but you can definitely make a case for why it had little to do with Leavitt. So if you don't want to characterize it as him hitting a plateau, I'm good.
