The best I'm hoping for is 6-6 and some lowly bowl experience and additional practice for our players and coaches.  We'll be ready to turn the tide in 2022!

I like Gator (despite his name) and I appreciated his write up. I just asked the question because I know that just like me he always predicts undefeated and as such this is the worst he has ever predicted us to go, which for a positive thread I found funny.

I have said that 6-6 is my prediction as well.  This team has more offensive talent and overall experience than last year.  But I can't reasonably count more than 6 wins this year.  We should see real improvement, but the schedule is too tough and front loaded with good OOC competition early, and the team won't have time enough to gel until we get into conference play.  I do think we have real shot at beating ucf by end of year, but not the Gators that early or anytime during this season.

Why is this even a question.  Of course you take the CC and NY6 bowl over a couple of wins against Florida schools if we can't capitalize on that feat.

The only way 6-6 happens is to beat 1 of NC State, Florida and BYU and then must go 4-4 in conference.  If the early upset is there, I think we can split the AAC.  If not, 5-3 in conference is probably unattainable this year.

You can lose all of those out of conference games and get to 6-6 realistically…I know we are not that great be neither is the middle and lower third of the conference
