Given that the state just passed several new laws, including one that mandates faculty and students to submit their political viewpoints in order to prevent the "liberal indoctrination" of students:

Governor Ron DeSantis said the state would monitor students and staff's beliefs to ensure they can express their beliefs and viewpoints.

and will now allow students to record faculty without their permission in order to avoid this indoctrination from happening:

I'd say putting in a president who will support each of these initiatives is probably at least of mild interest to him...

😂😂😂…I can just see the university’s employees reading such a mandate up here. That **** would not fly…but hey, to each their own.

Ok, probably a position that lasts four weeks. Just tell her not to touch the red button next to the pencil sharpener.

Anyone on this board is welcome to move to the wonderful land of Cuomo at any time. He's got a lot of state tax revenue to make up for so it would be mutually beneficial.

Let's steer clear of politics fellows unless, of course, you agree with mine.  😅 😂

I know there is one reason I watch less sports than ever - it is the politization of sports.  Let's not do that to this place.

Call me crazy but I don't like politicians getting involved with higher education, unless it is to regulate the skyrocketing costs.

They nationalized the loan programs so they could continue to drive the cost up further.  They have no interest in regulating the cost, they are the problem and never the solution.

Wasn't Wilcox expected to get it?

From the original announcement Wilcox was the temporary leader of the pack until an interim was named. Now a committee will be formed and then a search.
