Just wondering if his leaving is a good thing. MK could be given more leeway to make a deal and could be the one actually in charge of the whole process. Just a thought…

I’d say about a month. Couple weeks to put the search stuff and official quotes together. Talk about what USF means to the community. Make statements about how fast we’re growing. Officially take applicants for a week. Interviews and hiring within a week. I’ll go with wrapped up by August 1st.

Athletic directors don't make deals with conferences and school presidents.  School presidents do.  USF has none, therefore USF is out of luck for conference expansion.

Disagree…this is not rocket science for a president. We can still show our academic metrics without the current President who by the way will still be president when all this goes down. Based on JTrue’s comments we will have about 4/5 weeks with no hired president.

I don’t believe Kelly woke up on Wednesday and checked his twitter feed and went oh **** look at that Texas and OK are heading to the SEC.  This has been reported to be in the works for the last 6 months and I’m sure Kelly has been doing his best to get us a seat when the music stops. Only time will tell if he’s successful.  I’d be hard pressed not to believe this doesn’t have something to do with Currall abruptly leaving.
