I was there for that one, in the comfort of the press box.   🙂 There was no locker room, so the Bulls used the hoops arena to gear up.

That’s correct. My kid and I went into their arena after the game after seeing the players off. I can only imagine what that press box was like for you. That was a very rinky dink stadium.

We were at the first game.

Here's another 2003 first, my first away game, USF's first game in Birmingham, and Alabama's last game in Birmingham.

I will watch that highlight video at some point. Don't think I've ever seen that reel.

First game was the 2000 season finale against Austin Peay with my dad. It was a 59-0 W, but the most memorable event that night was Bill Gramatica hitting a 63 yd FG. My dad and I were cracking up because after he hit the FG, there was a handful of fans cheering (ya know, like what you're supposed to do at football games) and a RayJay usher or security guard came down and asked everyone to settle down. Pretty funny. But I remember falling in love with USF Football that night.

At that game I was on the sidelines with my ex-wife, a professional photographer.  When they announced the kick I told her it would be one of the longest in NCAA history.  After Billy made it she got a great pic of him leaping in the air to celebrate.   I lost that picture in the divorce, however.

Probably got it right before this one where I believe he is coming down from the leap:
