Judy's priority for USF Athletics to succeed led her to get rid of the architect of USF football. She held the program to a higher standard that was really warranted, a standard of more established programs ..... only seriously challenging for a conf championship 1 time. Where she messed up was then handcuffing Skip when it came to recruiting involving academics, her first love. I think she cared about Athletics to the point of interfering too much ...

I agree, she should have stayed out of it but she didn’t and screwed us in the process.

Not sure that I’ve ever heard of a college president NOT getting involved with the allegations that were against Jim Leavitt.

Exactly. She cared enough about Athletics to instigate moves that she thought would be for the betterment of football but then handcuffed the "solution" ....

I'm not sure how firing the coach that had built your program from the ground up to #2 in the country and some huge victories was for the betterment of football

If he was just the innocent victim, with his record of program building, why has he never had another head coaching job - at any level? I’ll tell you why. Because the guy has a screw loose. He did an incredible job and deserves all the credit in the world, but . . . I’m guessing word has gotten around that he’s pretty tough to work with and if you’re an AD, you’ll pass.

Puc, the prior post has to be the longest in the history of TBP, nice work.  Victim mentality is the way of the world, disappointed a Gen X would act like a millennial but at the end of the day, nobody takes ownership for anything and we all point fingers somewhere else, much more satisfying.

I couldn't get through it.

That's fine. but firing because he has a screw loose is different than firing him for the betterment of football.

And if you're a leader and can't handle strong personalities, then you shouldn't be a leader
