Texas is 19-7 all-time in super regional games.

Decent article for warm ups:

This would be the 37th College World Series trip for Texas should it win its super regional. USF, however, has never even made it this far before.

Knowing very little about college baseball, on paper this looks like a freakin route.  Having played for about 12 years growing up I know it is not that simple.  We should be loose and confident and if we can keep it close it puts an incredible amount of pressure on the favorite.  This game is ******* mental, when you are right you can hit anyone and when you are not you couldn’t buy a hit, same with throwing strikes.  Just keep the first game close and let the noose start to tighten.  We could never compete in FB or BB with this type of discrepancy but in baseball we have a shot.

Pitching and defense are the great equalizers.  Pitch well, make plays,  win games ....   and stay in the winners bracket of course

This isn't a knock on us, but being too dumb to know what you're up against goes a long way. If we'd been in this situation before, we'd be tight and nervous, but our guys have NEVER been in this situation. They're playing with house money and just living the moment and having fun. All the pressure is on Texas.

I think they know what they are up against.   They know what the CWS is, they know who Texas is, they also know that they are huge underdogs and have pretty much no pressure on themselves.    But they have also played in some big tournaments in their lives albeit not on the CWS scale,  but state championship tournaments and some big perfect game tournaments for sure.    The key is they know they are playing with house money and the pressure is on Texas.  The pitchers really have seemed to be pressure free for the most part in these last two tourneys.  Hope they stay like that this weekend

Didn’t know UT has a Clearwater boy on the team. Unfortunate to see his local team go to the CWS 😉

Hope all our boys and those who traveled were safe in their beds.

Paramedics took four people to the hospital, while police transported six others. ATCEMS also reported that someone else drove two people to the hospital.
