Texas is probably not scared of USF per se, but my guess is that their coaches would have preferred to see another team make it through

USF is getting it done with stellar pitching, timely hitting and limited mistakes - as has been stated, we are playing with house money and have nothing to lose

That makes USF a dangerous opponent in a short series format

I had this discussion with a baseball guy at work today. A short series is tough in baseball. I doubt the A's went into the 1990 WS thinking Billy Hatcher was going to be a problem.

We have the pitching depth to take a short series and Mohl has done a great job down the stretch and i the postseason mixing and matching these guys to be effective.   They're going to see some crazy good pitching up there, but we've had a variety of guys stepping up and delivering at the plate.   And hell, now Brutcher looks to be back and ready to swing the bat.   At least we have a shot

I spoke with Billy tonight.  Brutcher is ready.  He won't be playing in the field, but I believe he will be the DH if TLexas throws a tough righty.  Let me just say he was ecstatic with the Brutcher at bat today.  Go Bulls!

So, did any of you have the foresight to take USF +30,000 to win the CWS?

I am belated but wanted to congratulate the the Basebulls.  Finally my moving away from Tampa Bay seems to be lifting the jinx from the Bulls as it did for the Bucs, Lightning and Rays.  Meanwhile, I am repping with the colors in Hickory NC today.

Go Bulls!

You should have moved years ago. 😃 Hope you and Mrs and well.  Miss you guys.

I agree with the first comment on many counts.  We are loving it up here and Tampa seems to be doing just fine without me.   We do, however, miss all our friends down there -- like you and your lovely bride.   Hopefully we'll catch up sometime this year.
