Miami's pitching staff is pretty legit.   Great chance for our hitters to rise up to a challenge.  I'm guessing we'll see Sullivan with maybe Lord to follow.   Lyle should be good as well with only about 20 pitches today, but he didn't look overly sharp.

 

Interesting side story from the regional.   There's some talk that UF coach O'Sullivan is interested in the LSU job that comes open at the end of the season with Manieri's retirement.    Enter South Alabama coach Mark Calvi, who is pretty well respected in the coaching ranks.   Word is he really wants to move back to Florida to coach and would have been highly interested in the USF job if it happened to come open.   I don't know if O' Sullivan really is interested in the LSU job or if Calvi would be a candidate if he did leave, but at least an interesting side story.   Also head that Lovelady's seat at ucf is warm but doubt he is going anywhere either.

Scrolling through the scores this morning and saw that we were the only 4 seed to win yesterday - given that Florida is ranked 15, our win was the equivalent of a 13 seed beating a 4 if this was the NCAA Basketball Tournament

Good game. Of course anytime you beat FL is a plus for USF. First time I've watched them play this year they are impressive, made some very good plays. Pitchers looked good. Beating Miami would be fantastic. USF is peaking out at just the right time maybe...just maybe...??

I haven't been able to find baseball replays on Plus after we won games in the conf tournament.
