There is an article and some timeline stuff in the TBT today about Ericksen.  Started in '97 and didn't make a Super Regional until '06.  In today's climate would people have run him off for not doing it sooner?

In a power 5 school yes. At USF he is treated as Jesus.

Coach K didn't get past the 2nd round of NCAA tourney until Year 6.   Losing record after Year 3

Dean Smith didn't make the NCAA tourney until Year 6

John Wooden was at UCLA 15-20 years before he played for a championship

They probably all would have been fired today .... definitely if brybul was the AD ......

Since Kenny was on campus at USF back when Robin Roberts, Joe Tomaino, me and other dinosaurs roamed the land, he is literally grandfathered in and granted special dispensation.

I always like to use our most successful MBB head coach as a barometer of the way things are handled now, as opposed to yesteryear.

Coach Pascal had an abysmal record after his first 3 seasons and there is no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't have survived to year 4 in today's climate.

Wow, that was even before my time....I'm of the metro conference and Eddie Cardieri regime. How would this board do if we went 4-14 and 7-11 in back to back years in the Metro conference....HA! I guess that makes me from the cenozoic era when the wooly mammoths roamed
