Marv was probably remembered as much for his Lite beer commercials as for his less-than-steller play that made him the face of the "Lovable Losers" expansion era Mets.  Stenhouse was a half-season rookie pitching sensation with the mighty Washington Senators before quickly flaming out.  I remember them because these were the kind of players I always got in my baseball card packs.  Early preparation for being a Bulls fan.

Didn't Marvelous Marv play at the same time as Ed Kranepool?  Danny Napoleon worked in my office for a while. He helped the company softball team a tad.

Only a guess but I think the 3 guys they are targeting the hardest right now are

1. Malik Curry, PG, Grad Transfer from ODU. He's quoted in an article on 247 saying out of all the schools recruiting him that USF wants him the most. Would start at point with Trey Moss as the back up and Murphy/Greene kind of playing an off ball guard position

2. Cam Holden, SF, JR. from UT Martin. Only 6-5 but averaged 16 ppg and 8 rpg. USF is in his final 6 schools and is quoted in a 247 article saying he knows Murphy since they are both from GA. He's supposed to commit on 4/15.

3. Bayron Matos, PF, FR. from New Mexico. USF only has Tchewa and Oduro downlow so they need to sign probably 2-3 more bigs before this is all said and done. Started for New Mexico and would still have 4 years of eligibility left.

USF still has 5 scholarships to fill so I'm sure they are talking to a bunch of guys in the portal but those 3 I'm sure are top priority with them at least having a shot of landing 1 or 2 of them.

Matos should be priority 1, I read where Illinois is after him as well
