A lot of those portalizing seemed to have reach their topside and/or minutes played peak - X included.

I thought X would have been a starter next year.

I think it's tough to build decent depth at a program like USF, with no real basketball or winning culture ...

X is the shocker to me. I kind of expected Williams, and to some extent Akec, to have left sooner for more playing time ...

He should have been this year but couldn't muster it.

I would have liked to see him and Murphy both start next year and run with two PG.

To me X leaving is the only surprise so far. But looking at his numbers this year it was interesting to see that

Both Murphy and X averaged same amount of time per game 23.8 min

X avg  8.5 ppg shooting 36%, 2.3 rpg, and 52 assists

Murphy was 8.3ppg, shooting 38%, 2.3 rpg and 60 assists

X was better at 3 pt shooting, FT shooting and less turnovers

But with Moss coming in as a PG and Murphy not being great at 3 pt shooting so far, maybe X so his minutes being squeezed out with two younger taller PG in the team.

I think you are correct. X didn't do enough the last two seasons to separate himself from the youngsters and incoming players on the roster. When you have a choice between similar production, you almost always want to go with the younger guy, especially when you are still trying to develop a core.

I think also, though, at some point you have to factor in experience/upperclassmen leadership and unless Dawson comes back, Chaplin is the grizzled vet in the back court. I just don't think that X leaving was in any way coaching staff induced ...... I'm just holding my ******* breath about Durr, Lex and even Dawson.

I see we are recruiting a couple of players from France...Hope Lex stays and can help land these two.

Maxime Ekono is a high level recruit 6' 7 PG

Benjamin Bayela 6' 6 SG

if their as durable as Alexis?? We could be screwed except, our medical school/facility will get work

Chaplin is a beast. Be careful holding your breasts could be harmful...Oh, breath, never mind

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
