USF tips off as the #1 seed versus Wichita State at 3 pm today. The Bulls beat the Shockers easily by 18 points in their only matchup of the season. Of course, that was the pre-Covid interruption team that looked much better than the post-Covid iteration. WSU is not very good at all and we should win this one going away. The biggest advantage of the #1 seed is that UCF and Houston will have to battle it out and USF only has to beat one of them to win the conference. A win over WSU and USF will be playing Tulane in the semifinals. USF beat Tulane by 19 pre-Covid interruption and by 9 in a much closer matchup post-Covid interruption.

If we don't wake up real quick this will be a one and done for the conference tourney followed by a 1 and done in the tourney. Shooting woes have to be psychological at this point.

Something terrible happened to this team during the layoff. We will come back to win this one in the second half, but Los Toros better figure things out quickly. Going to be such a disappointing end to an otherwise promising season.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
