Well look like we have one new safety and one less qb. I hope the high energy translates into good practices that lead to on the field improvements.  We have a lot of “good energy” and “good practices” but that doesn’t always produce wins. This is the first step and we’ve matched our practice count for last spring. Hopefully things will climb from here

Bigger faster and better, this is the type of spring practice sound clip bs that we missed last year.  I do like the idea of Smith trying to get on the field as a safety,  as an ex QB he has nice vision and is an athlete like his pops but better, let’s beat somebody this year, anybody as long as they are not just FCS FAMU.  If that is our only win then CJS is gone as well as our FB program.

I don't get excited about Spring practice or fall camp anymore.  We can save these sound bites from Coach Scott and compare them to next year's spring practice sound clips and they will be the same.   I am tired of the talk, show me, don't tell me.

So many positives in this article.  But the one that jumps out at me:

Scott said 92 players participated in Tuesday's workout — surpassing the numbers of any practice last season

This is huge.  92 isn't all that many, but we had far less most of last season.  We have a full football team, well mostly full.

This article makes it seem as if the Oline might be better this year. Its usually 60/40 that a returning player gets better from year to year, maybe higher on the linemen. Ill buy it that we run the ball better this year.

Thats also a lot of transfers for the secondary, which was sorely needed. I do like the idea of Smith going back there.

Overall, I think we will be better than last year.

There are also 45 photos. The recievers definitely hit the weights this past offseason. My new favorite player is Demontrey Jacobs. Buddy had like 5-6 pancakes last year.

Only a year later and Weis is starting to look more like his dad.

Or the "we tied the amount of spring practices last year with one...we break that tomorrow."
