I do admire your attempts to look at the glass as half full, make lemons out of lemonade, yada yada yada etc. and etc. Just saying that Antigua was recruiter of the year at Kentucky. Not sure where the half full comes in to play.

I counted wrong. We’re even better than I thought. The best indicator of potential athletic success at USF is not being a part of the the USF athletic program

Never said he was and it was a very accurate depiction of our depressing situation ..... that was my point.

We’re just either insanely unlucky or really bad at identifying whatever that “it” factor is that elevates a guy from good on paper to good in actuality. Scott, Holtz, Antigua, Mohl, Gregory, Butehorn... None of them was a bad hire. Edited February 16, 2021 by JTrue

Which could take a few years (because they're so boinked on scheduling anyone worth a crap right now), but if a few big dogs step up and volunteer, their reality dose will come briskly and boldly. His dad was a HC at South Carolina when he went 1-10 and was sent packing. We now have him as our special consultant which means CJS comes from a special pedigree of entitlement and good ole southern charm oozing of bs. I have no idea if this inbred can coach his way out of a wet paper bag but he is what we got so I have my fingers crossed.

You’re making things up to prove your already decided upon outcome. 1) There are no such things as program builders that are available to hire. A “program” takes more than 3 years to build. Name one coach who built a program and then left for a better job in the last 20 years. 2) If that’s prerequisite for head coach, a lot of schools got hoodwinked. 3) Every job is OJT when you’re a first time head coach.
