Shocking a coach who won a National championship ended up at UCF.

USF needs to make its own destiny instead of worrying about UCF.  When I lived in Otown I used to tell my UCF alum friends the same thing whenever they beached about USF being in the Big East and not

Gus actually made bowl games frequently while playing in the SEC. I think his firing is similar to those who wanted Jim Leavitt out for under performance.

Hopefully they get a message board of their own one day

Interesting. Did they go with a “name” like we did on Strong? They have won based on their high power offensive type football, this is not what Gus has done at Auburn. It could come back to haunt them. I would have gone with a younger guy with a resume of wide open attack.

But, they passed on you and hired Terry Mohajir as AD.🤪

UCF named Gus Malzahn the Knights’ next football coach and will introduce him during a news conference at 2 p.m. Monday.

"Malzahn is known for his no-huddle hurry-up offenses. His first season at Arkansas State, the Red Wolves finished ranked No. 26 (34.9 points per game) in the Football Bowl Subdivision in scoring offense.

Career Record: 9 Years, 77-38, .670 Win% (at major schools)

Coach Charlie came to USF at 7 Years, 53-27. .662 Win% (at major schools)

GO BULLS!

Could be good for UCF, could be bad.  I think I would rather have Malzahn over Jeff Scott and crew though.

Charlie Strong was 16-21 at Texas (major school)
