An empty chair just got UCF a higher rated recruit than Heupel ever did

Fairly confident he would have committed even if Heupel was still there ...... Good news for Kanigits, this probably means that Gabriel's not following him to UT.

Quotes from article...

I asked multiple sources what the distance between UCF and its Floridian Group of Five counterparts was, and received varying degrees of laughter and general incredulity.

“Do not compare them to USF. They’ve spent past the Bulls in every conceivable way. And there’s no reason to compare them either FAU or FIU in terms of finances,” an agent said.

“The comparison between USF and UCF is that one school has said ‘Hey we’re in Florida’ and one has said ‘Hey, we want to be a P5 in Florida,’” a former USF assistant said.

Wait, is that THE Steven Godfrey ...... ? ****, we're doomed ...........

Bottom line, you're NOT a P5 in Florida. You're in Florida just like we are, but having a lot better run of success at this point ......... but thanks for bringing a blogger's viewpoint to our attention, even though we've got fans that were already all over it.

What’s a Steven Godfrey? I thought it was the QB kid from a few years ago, but I looked him up...Jeffrey.

That was the first thing I thought of, too ...... probably a cousin.

By the way...the majority of schools offered him as a DB, not WR which is what UCF did...

What a great hire for them.

Lets see how long he stays but expect to stay dominant in this conference. They really are first in line for P5 if it happens in the near future. Sighh.

The bottom line is Gus Malzahn has never had a losing record, has won 67 percent of his games, and beat Nick Saban more than any current SEC coach. If you're UCF and he's available, you're going after him.

None of these Coaches scare me really, except for maybe Gus.  I don't remember the circumstances of his departure from Auburn.  I thought he did pretty well there.  But why would he take that big of a step back from being a National Champion at one point in the SEC?
