Screw UT. They are the reason that this whole P5/G5 BS started. Glad to see that their boosters have that program in a death spin. That is all.

Are they really the reason? I legit always thought it was the SEC threatening to break away and govern themselves.

Prior to that it was UT causing chaos in the big12 over the longhorn network. After Nebraska and Mizzou left, the big12 almost failed until the ncaa granted a waiver for a conference championship with only 10 teams giving them a path to the CFP. Anyways, the scramble of teams fleeing the big12 caused the poaching of big east (WVU, Rutgers, TCU) schools leaving the remnants without a seat at the adult table. ESPN then had the green light to screw the new "conference usa 2.0" (because we were forced to backfill with UCF, ECU, etc) with a horrible tv contract. Screw UT.

There's always been an adult table in college football. When I teach my Modern U.S. class, I teach a part on the beginning of college athletics and highlight how in 1905, there was an expose done on Walter Camp and Yale football and the claim was that the athletic department had accumulated a slush fund of about $100,000 dollars from ticket sales and an $8 student fee. The president of Yale refused to investigate the charges and Camp declined comment on the matter. The issue was "confirmed" in 1914 when Yale opened its 78,000 seat stadium, the Yale Bowl.

As soon as college football had more than one team, schools were trying to figure out how to screw whoever they could and however they could.

I don't want him but he is probably an upgrade over CJS at this point.  He had a great run at Houston.  We have to let CJS run his course and we can't really afford to buyout and payout another coach. I would rather get the IPF and hope/pray that CJS builds a solid fountain for years to come. We realistically cannot do any worse than last year.
