I cannot find a source where there is a ranking by conference. But regardless, based on NYD success and rankings, the AAC is a better conference than the rest of the G5.

N.E.....I as well as nobody else on this board feels that any other G6 conference is better than the AAC. 😂 I simply stated that all G6 schools have the same ceiling and opportunity to go to a NY6 bowl game. I promise you, that we are not at a disagreement on who's better.

I just checked out the recruiting rankings and the AAC rankings seem pretty in line with the rest of the G5 and nowhere near the P5. If there is a difference it is negligible and no one seems to be clamoring to play in the AAC or noticeably deciding to select schools based on a perceived value of being P6. I will send out a survey monkey to HS recruits later today but I am pretty sure the results are going to be the AAC having a net promoter score in line with the rest of the G5.

Really, tell me which recruiting rankings did you use? How excited you think USF players and fans would be if we announced we are leaving the AAC to join the SunBelt?

Its beyond amazing, not to call it something else that anyone that knows anything about football would say that the AAC and the SunBekt are on equal footing.

Really here is 2020 top 99 classes from Rivals, I honestly do not think it demonstrates that we are far and above the G5 but are in fact far below the P5 and independents. I also think people would wonder why we would switch one horrible conference for another but I do not think it would really impact anything. Anyone that cared enough about quality to defect did so when we went to this crap conference.

Notice that only 5 Sun Belt schools are in that comparison. What about the other 5? Even with that comparison there is a difference of 20 points, probably more if you include the other 5.

Never have I said the AAC is comparable to the Power conferences. But making that NY6 bowl 5 out of 7 years including 4 in a row, plus the TV contacts where each AAC schools gets about 7 million a year, SunBelt contract is 100k per team yearly. Plus look at the home games, Alabama, Florida etc are not going to any SunBelt stadium.

So no there is a difference, eventhough you and others don’t want to admit it.

I think there is a marginal difference and I see nothing in the data that would indicate players are selecting G5 teams based on conference, as you would see between us and the P5 the average star ranking for P5 is 3.12, AAC 2.37, C-USA 2.2. The average rank of our teams is 72, the lowest P5 is 42 and C-USA is 79. I selected the data based on the easiest I could capture but it is definitely directionally correct and shows that HS players are not factoring in the AAC (other than to try to avoid it and go to a P5 program) at a discernibly high level.

Pretty compelling argument, I may just change my mind. Thanks G-d for the AAC and it’s ability to drive home these difference making classes

Kids like two things. Cool **** and winning. If you're not a P5 recruit, cool **** is out. The next thing you're looking for is winning.

Sounds like a nod to staying at RayJay.
