You are correct we did have someone delay entry, we have the room just not at specifically D Line, no rule that I am aware of using a scholly originally slotted for a D-back or RB.  I realize you want to keep your classes somewhat even to avoid large ebbs and flows but I find it hard to believe if we found a strong transfer that we could not make room for him.  Maybe I am missing something.

Thank you! Last year we lost a DT and Juco DT transfer, and this year we lost two DEs to the transfer portal. I am lost as to why adding a DT is so hard.

I read this explanation somewhere so not sure if accurate. 

The DTs in the scheme Spencer runs are not as important as DEs and LBs.  The stats from the DE position were dreadful that’s why you saw them pick up a transfer and a HS recruit.  I think the coaches were much more concerned about lack of productivity from the DE position than DT.

Spencer's scheme relies on having good DTs. I like Green and Magnum, but would be happy with 1 more DT that is 300Ib plus and can bench press over 400Ibs. There are a bunch of good senior DT in the portal. Not sure why we cant at least get one.

Magnum has another season? If so great.

I'd like to see add a p5 transfer DE and DT and Curry...that dude is a beast.  He put up huge numbers vs AAC teams. 

Do that I'd be pretty optimistic we see a much better team this year.

Well good for him. I thought it was a real possibility he would be going the FCS route. Anyone got the over/under number in months that he will walk away from them?
