Throw in the ability to run and would agree with you and @Friscobullthat playing him may make sense. That's just a murder's row of games to throw him into next year.

He looks elusive but tough to tell in HS how good he is when the speed picks up, none of us know yet including the staff.

If the kid gets here in the spring and puts on the weight, is a better passer, and can see over the line, he could be a player in year one.

He seems to have a decent pocket presence, moves fast and has an arm.

If coach puts him in, we win the AAC, no doubt in my mind.

Fortin starts the year but McClain closes it out.

McClain looks like the real deal.  We need a savior.  Like your idea of easing McClain in especially as a true freshman.  If we throw him in the fire Day 1, may ruin his confidence.

We need alot.  Strengthen both the lines and some real skill positions in order to give this kid a chance.

Anyone but McCloud. I think Johnson is worth keeping around as a 2 if someone gets hurt and a speed specialist.

Yeah McCloud has been given enough chances to show something.  Granted we dont have much surrounding him.  But he has had ample opportunity to give us some hope and dont see it with him.

And he had concrete shoes and moved like I do after a hard night of drinking.  You can be slight as long as you are elusive and learn how to avoid the big hit.

that explains it!!!

coach scott will bring in ballers

Those are the things we need.

Unfortunately, after McCloud's performance against a defense that managed to make Bryce Miller look like an All-American we will be watching McCloud as the starting QB in 2021.
