Marshall and WSU will split possibly by the end of the week, ending the tenure of the most successful coach in school history

This lessons the sting even more off of him not coming here years ago. Time and this news makes it even more a reason on how we got lucky.   But a Final Four should would have been nice.  Not saying it would of even happened at USF the same way

I wonder why it is that only successful coaches do this, and trash teams have soft coaches? It's the passion. Ccs would never get upset and "verbally abuse" a player. He didnt care.

They do have more passion for sure and success. It could be that they think their success gives them liberties that are simply not there. There are plenty of passionate coaches who are successful who do not cross the line. This guy at WSU seems like a real scumbag though.

Wow! This is pretty big news,  From reading recent media reports, it appears the matter is even more divisive among fans and between program donors and the university administration than was the whole Leavitt ouster.

I wonder if they will live in the past and talk about the good old days of Coach Marshall ad nauseam?

If it takes Jeff Scott slapping Johnny Ford's little ass in the face to get a win around here, let's do it. None of this timeout for bad behavior crap. We should have beat Memphis.

The difference is the good old "days" of Coach Marshall actually involved multiple years, not multiple weeks ...
