this is a usf issue because kids was under scholarshipif they knew about child they knew fisher owed money.

usf should have made sure fisher paid or let him take time off ot get a job and pay but to let him get arrested like this wasn't right

I don't think it is USF's job to make sure Fisher obeys the law... it is Fisher's job... no one elses.  The blame should not be on USF for any of this.  He screwed up!  He should pay the price.

don't coaches say "brian will be like family" "I will treat him like a son"

on my phone call post "everybody said we are a family"

family doesn't allow one to get arrested(if it is avoidable)

THIS WAS SO AVOIDABLE IT IS TROUBLESOME.

don't get me wrong brian isn't fault free. but to let this go  to the point he is arrested  during spring practice is wrong and embarassing

i would pull in every athlete that has a child and see where they satnd on support payments today not tomorrow

even if they had pulled in everyone and checked where they are on support payments, it would have changed that Fisher didn't pay.  They can tell him, Brian, you should pay your child support, but i don't see that as being effective.  Do you think he has 17k in his wallet to pay this?  Either way, he was likely gonna be arrested.  This type of problem needs to be addressed by being responsible up front, not hand holding later.

Unless something major happens, i don't think we'll see Fisher playing this year, and probably won't see him play anymore as a bull, unfortunately.

VG- you don't let it get to 17k.

after they miss one payment you bring them in and if they can't pay you simply have to remove them from team so they can work to pay obligation but to let it go for years is unacceptible

$17,000 is a lot of jack, especially to a college kid - sounds like he just turned his back on the entire problem, choosing instead to retreat into the world of college sports. The football coaches, etc. should be there to advise but they probably didn't know about it.

If you miss a payment, the police should bring him in and figure out how to fix it, before the school ever has a chance.

Dead beat dads are not the schools problem, they are everyone's problem.

WOW! That was an interesting headline to wake up to! :-/

But, for the football aspect, if we loose him for a long amount of time (as we probably will) I don't think it will hurt us as much as what it would have this past year. We're probably going to run the ball more this year anyway, but I think our recieving core will be better this year with Bain maybe being a leader stepping up, Green and then Peyton. It still hurts though.

How do you let child support payments go to 17 grand!?
