I’ve been teaching for the past 13 years and have seen the number of interns drastically decrease. I enjoy teaching, but see why people don’t want to get into the profession. The number of disruptive and rude student is increasing, and pay is pretty stagnant.

That is sad and probably a misstep. Good teachers are more important than ever. We are truly moving towards an idiocracy society

The rude and disruptive students aren't the problem.  They've always existed and they're usually the ones that need the schools the most.  It's the absurd amount of testing and the increased expectations with decreased resources.
