What CJS actually said is that he saw some separation. He did not say there was a clear answer nor did he say that they were ready nor did he say that this separation occurred because someone stepped up. He could have very well have meant that none of them are good enough but one is not quite as bad as the others. In fact, he said coming out of camp that the team is not ready for the season yet, it will take some more time. You need to learn how to read coach speak. CJS basically told us that the QB situation and the team is not good but phrased it so that he is not throwing the team under the bus.

I guess I tried to read positives in it that someone was separating from the pack in a positive way, I guess that’s on me for trying to hope. I should have known better and that it clearly meant we were separating ourselves from a passing game. I just can’t help but be a glass half full guy, maybe one day I will learn better.

If I remember it correctly they asked if he saw any separation happening and he simply responded “yes” so it really could have meant anything and he didn’t actually try to explain the context in anyway

What makes y'all think Fortin is any better than McCloud or Johnson.

We have a bunch of FCS level quarterbacks.
