I doubt Pedro can work relief AND pitch games 1-4-7 of a series. I think the latter would be a better use of his talents.

are there innings restrictions per week in the playoffs?

7 innings starting, then 2 - 1 inning relief appearences would be better, imho, than 3 complete games then losing the other 4 because of Kim giving up homers... but then, thats why i'm not the GM and Theo is.  He's impressed me so far.

Most amazing stat that I read was that the Cubs hadn't won an away playoff game since 1945!! And they'd only played 8 ......!

As a lifetime Bucs fan and obvious fan of the downtrodden, I'm pulling for a Red Sox-Cubs World Series .......

Pedro starts, couple good middle relief outs by embree and timlin, then Williamson almost blows it and Derek Lowe gets the save with 2 9th inning strikeouts.

Incredible... so in the wins, Wakefield and Lowe were the effective closers.   I just picked the wrong starters, although had Lowe been the starter tonight, Pedro would have closed for sure.

Down to 4... Yanks, Sox, Cubs, Marlins

I would not be surprised if Pedro closed a game in Yanks series. I say he starts game 3 and 7 and pitches reliefe in a real close game if needed. The sox will throw everything they got to beat the yanks. Williamson pitched great against Oakland and is closer until he blows it if he does. Timlin was lights out so I hope he continues to pitch well. I would think Kim will pitch in game 1 to see if he has any confidence and if he pitches bad we wont see him again.  GO SOX!! GO CUBS!!
