Let's remember that the constitution says the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. So naturally, any gun law is impeding on gun rights. A right that we naturally all had is being restricted.

I won't try to debate gun rights with you since this is TBP, but can we agree that these two quotes essentially mean the same thing?

A debate on gun rights is integral in the discussion of those two quotes so we'll just have to agree to disagree about them ...

I'll take that as you prefer gun control measures and that's fine. Seems reasonable even if I disagree.

I think the overall point is that BLM talks about politics throughout its site. They cheer on Democratic wins in 2018 Senate races. This. Is. Not. A. Neutral. Organization.

I just find it to be overtly shunning to people who feel differently about things nothing to do with race. DeldaBull even said the other day that they Trojan Horse beliefs into movements like BLM and dilute the message with political opinions.

I would find it in good taste for a moderator who says that we are against having politics on the board to also be against the school showing their politics.

Trips will only moderate if he disagrees with the political position, if he agrees he becomes the biggest cheerleader, some may refer to him as a hypocrite.

If we win more I think it’s great, if we continue our losing ways I think it’s dumb. I am consistent. We could recruit prisons and partial qualifiers for all I care so I certainly can’t bring myself to care about people doing what they think is the right thing, as long as they win. Winning is the only duty of care owed to me by USF athletics and they should aim to always do things to get to that objective, if something doesn’t move the need in the winning or losing direction I am at best politely indifferent.

In the words of the late Al Davis, “just win baby”.   I will ignore the rest of the noise, Go Bulls!

I have no problems with trip and never have. This whole thing is unique and I can totally understand where a lot of us are coming from. The best thing we can do right now is call balls and strikes. BLM is blatantly political. I'm supposed to just sit there and enjoy pro socialist tags?

Yep. If you win every thing you do is great and if you lose everything you do is dumb. Sports are pretty cut and dry and winning isn’t the most important thing it’s the only thing. If people want to take a hard look at Athletes I think if they put a sticker on their helmet or take a knee is probably one of the least objectionable things they may find. If I can ignore Big Ben being a **** head as long as he wins Super Bowls and I can find AB’s behavior endearing while he is with the Steelers I’ve pretty much painted myself into the I don’t care what you do as long as you win corner.

It is the only thing, their voice is heard when they are successful and if they lose they will be wildly ignored, hopefully these guys realize that and focus most of their energies on winning the game.

Luckily he's not the only one here with those powers.... others of us can also remove snarky comments that aren't necessary.

I don’t either, the board would struggle to survive without Trips and yahoos like myself could disappear and the pen would not miss a beat and some would argue it would improve.  Politics is part of sports whether we like it or not, we will all respond to this however we see fit.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
