I don’t disagree, but you use the player that works best in your current situation.  It sure beats the hell out of watching Bobby Eveld drop back in the pocket and get pummeled from the blind side numerous times while constantly putting the ball on the ground.

True,  what I meant was that if the coaching staff is going to use the athleticism to buy time and create plays then that could be a good thing ... if he is dropping back and then running for his life, that probably won't be much more successfully than Eveld getting pummeled

It’s Noah but expect McClod to get plenty of playing time as well.

Hopefully we implement an offense that fits our talent and we don’t pull a Taggert and run a power game without the talent to do it properly.

Because Scott is going to need more time to make a decision. It’s not going to be as day and night as many expect. Also, I expect some running/passing packages for McCloud to change things up.

I like Cade and Noah's film...but I am leaning towards Noah do to his speed.  I think people forget as well that McCloud only played qb for 1 year in hs and he was underdeveloped...he may be a dark horse to win the starting job...

I have no doubt that coaching/scheme played into McCloud's poor performance overall, but it was some of the absolutely god awful throws when not under pressure that got me.  We have definitely upgraded the position considerably since last year thankfully and CJS addressing that through transfers kind of shows where we were

Yeah thought he might need glasses...

I get it if he needs more time, but I don't see McCLoud changing things up.  I'm not sure Johnson comes here to be a back up and I don't know that we go out and recruit these transfers if CJS is remotely happy with the qb situation he inherited

McCloud was just a freshman with horrible coaches and banged up most of the season I think he makes a big improvement.  Flowers looked horrible his first start vs a really bad SMU team.

I think we actually could have some decent talent at qb.

I could be totally wrong here and perhaps I should have said McCloud will see “some” playing time. I do feel he will be better than last year but not enough to take the #1 spot.
