I like a good depressing movie, probably explains my love for USF Athletics.  It was an unnecessary tragedy but it would be an interesting movie, glad he was able to survive and tell their story.

That’s gold...pure gold.

I read the book.  Wasn't pleasant but very interesting to learn how the human animal reacts in that type of situation.

I think I remember he got a lot of heat for writing it from the families of those that didn't survive.   Of course there was already some suspicion from those families as to why he was the only one that was able to survive.  Someone who's read it recently will have to remind me, but I think it had to do with why he was found sitting on top of the boat with a life jacket on when the others (obviously without life jackets) went down.

I felt bad for him - I'm sure the survivor's guilt was already pretty heavy, without any extra accusations.  I wonder if those families are part of this movie now.

It was a terrible tragedy for the guys that didn't make it, but at the same time it shows the human spirit and the will to survive that kid had to hang on and fight until the miracle of his rescue.

It involves USF players/students and happened right in our back yard.  Yes, I am going to watch.

Frisco - Your first statement is classic!

Ugh...there are some movies that simply should not be made.

I never understood how they had so many cigarettes, months after the crash they were still chain smoking.  Where in the hell did they come from, was everyone traveling with multiple cartons of smokes? This soccer team had to be out of breath 5 minutes into every game.

If they can make a movie about 911 ans shoot seems of the towers collapsing.  They can make a movie about anything.  As long as money is being made sadly.
