Arkansas State (4-3): Leaps to the top of the middle with its 3-0 overtime victory over one-win Florida Atlantic. Played the perfectly mediocre game, better only if it would have ended 2-0 after an overtime safety. 58. South Florida (3-3): The Bulls hold their spot after hurricane concerns postponed their game with West Virginia until Dec. 3. But in mediocre alumni news, former kicker Bill Gramatica signed with Tampa Bay of the Arena Football League. 60. SEC Tennessee football (7-7): The state is home to two of the eight Division I-A teams with .500 records. The Volunteers are 3-3 after a 6-3 loss to Alabama, while Vanderbilt is 4-4 after four straight losses, the Commodores' bowls hopes all but gone. 57. Pittsburgh (4-4): The Panthers climb to .500 for the first time under Dave Wannstedt, though 4-7 is still entirely possible. 61. Wyoming (4-4): Cowboys lost their third straight. Said coach Joe Glenn of one of their five turnovers, "The football gods must be mad at us." No, if they were really mad, they wouldn't let you be mediocre. Ask Temple. If only our other conference brethren would strive for mediocrity.

I think the fact that Tennessee has beaten a top 10 team, played 4 top 25, 3 top 10 and was not destroyed in every game helps....

UCONN w/2nd string QB, Criminati & Syracuse is the bottom level. Problem is the road "wuss-wier" USF will or has to travel to all but one of these schools. Last season the Bulls won twice on the road. They should be able to win two outa three @Rutgers, @Syracuse & @UCONN. That's all I'm asking. That's the way I see it also ... they(UT) still lost 3 games. They beat UAB (17-10) :

If Tenn @ 3-3 beat L'ville instead of USF beating L'ville they would be around 19 or 20 vs # 26....it's BS!

We did get respect the week after it happened, but after laying eggs v. Miami and Pittsburgh the bandwagon is lighter. Further our other two wins are UCF and FAMU...nothing to write home about. We need to KILL Rutgers and then we can possibly start getting some BCS love...
