Bye week records for USF

USF has had at least one bye week every season, except for the '99 season. USF is 6-6 before a bye week and 8-5 after a bye.

USF is 2-2 at home before a bye and 4-4 away before a bye. USF is 6-2 at home after a bye and 2-3 away after a bye.

USF is 1-0 before and after a two week bye before this season.

Here are the bye weeks broken down by season.

1997 I-AA

Oct 18th lost to So. Illinois 10-23

Nov 1st won over Charleston So. 24-6

1998 I-AA

Sep 19th won at Liberty 34-21

Oct 3rd won at the Citadel 45-6

2000 Transition I-AA

Oct 7th lost at #17 So. Miss 7-41

Oct 21 won over Liberty 44-6

2001 I-A independant

Sep 8th won at Pitt 35-26

Sep 22nd lost at Memphis 9-19

Nov 10th won over W. Illinois 48-17

Nov 24th won over Utah St. 34-13

2002 I-A independant

Sep 14th lost at Arkansas 3-42

Sep 28th lost at Oklahoma 14-31

Oct 19th won at ECU 46-30

Nov 2nd won over Charleston So. 56-6

2003 I-A C-USA

Sep 6th won over Nichols St. 27-17

Sep 27th won at Army 28-0 (This was a two week bye)

Nov 8th won at ECU 38-37

Nov 22nd lost to UAB 19-22

2004 I-A C-USA

1st game vs Pitt postponed due to Hurricane

Sep 11th won over Tenn Tech 21-7

Oct 2nd lost at #29 So. Miss 20-27

Oct 16th lost to Army 35-42

Nov 22nd lost at #15 Louisville 9-41

Dec 3rd won at #36 UAB 45-20

2005

Oct 1st lost at #9 Miami 7-27

Oct 15th lost at Pitt 17-31

the team has been very diffent in the last 2 years.

before 2004 the the got better as the year progressed the play was more solid the tackling improved the overall product became more reliable

what we saw last year was a lot of sideward meandering, and inconsistancy.

now we put most of that on youth last year but this year should coaching step up and take responsiblity for waht seems to be poor prep and gameplanning?

Yeah - but what's our record after a DOUBLE bye week!! DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN..........

As stated in the first post, USF is 1-0 before and after a two week bye before this season.

If you include the Pitt game, then USF is 1-1 before a double bye and 1-0 after a double bye, with the Rutgers game changing that.
